Read the Bible
The Bible reader looks like the programs we used on the family computer in 1997. You pick a book, pick a chapter, and the text fills the white page. No pop-ups and no sign-up.
Three translations are on the shelf. The World English Bible is a modern English update of the old American Standard text. The Berean Standard Bible is a clear, readable modern translation. The King James Version is the one many of our grandparents grew up with. Switch between them and read the same chapter three ways.
There is a search box too. Type a word like grace or shepherd and the verses that contain it come up in a list. Click one and you are taken to the chapter.
Read a little each day. A chapter before bed is plenty.
